Choosing the Best Workout Clothes: Fit In a Minute
Aired on Lifetime Television Sunday, July 23 and November 12, 2006
Show 319
Wearing comfortable, functional, and of course flattering clothing, can help you stick with your exercise routine. Whether you're more comfortable in pants or shorts, consider an elastic waist band. Strings can sometimes bind. Choose a flexible absorbent fabric. Think about zipper pockets if you'll be carrying keys or ID. Forget about the old cotton tee. Find a soft, stretchy top that wicks moisture away from the skin, and lookout for seams that can chafe. The proper athletic socks and shoes are essential in making your exercise routine a pleasure and not a chore. Good, new socks and shoes will cushion and protect your feet and ankles. And ladies, check out the specialty undergarments available to protect and make you much more comfortable. Remember to dress for the weather. Think layering and protection from the sun and wind. We're a long way from spandex. Today you have world of excellent fabrics and attractive styles to make exercise comfortable and appealing.
