Intimacy: Health Story
Aired on Lifetime Television Sunday, February 4 and March 18, 2007 Show 405
"We disagree about a lot of things and we fight especially when we are in the car," says Amy Wagner. Not wanting their disagreements to push them apart, she and her husband Bart attend an intimacy group every other week. "There are couples there who have been married from between eight months to 50 years," says Amy. "Shared beliefs bring couples closer," says Dr. Laura Berman, intimacy expert and author. "Intimacy helps boost not only the immune system, but also helps prevent cancer and fatigue. Couples who kiss and cuddle a lot are eight times less prone to be stressed or depressed. Intimacy can really bring a better quality of life," she says. For more about Dr. Laura Berman and her book, "For Women Only," click here.
