Kids Ask Dr. Lisa: Why Are My Sister and I So Different?
Aired on Lifetime Television Sunday, February 11 and March 25, 2007 Show 406
Michaela Powell:
I played with dolls when I was little, but my sister likes to hunt for bugs. We're sister, so why are we so different?
Dr. Lisa Thornton:
We're all different. Even in the same family, we're different. In fact, you're born with a personality. And some people will like things like sports and athletics and other people like to sit quietly and read. It's just the way that we are. And you'll find that sometimes that that can lead to conflict, especially in families. But you should try to get along with your family because you know what, when you grow up, even though it seems hard to believe right now, you may find that your brother or sister becomes your very best friend.
