Lo Detrich Homecoming: Health Story

Aired on Lifetime Television
Sunday, April 1 and May 13, 2007
Show 407

Last year, Health Corner profiled a very special young woman from Tulsa, Lo Detrich. When she was just three months old, Lo was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. At age 20, she was taking 20 to 25 pills per day, using inhalers and needed several hours of therapy. "It's very frustrating to be able to think pretty clearly, think for yourself, but feel as though you have no control over your body," says Lo. Her lung capacity had been declining at a steady rate and her only hope was a life-saving lung transplant. In June of 2006, Lo received word that a lung donor had been found. This inspiring update chronicles her road to recovery as well as her astonishing spirit.
