Your morning can be a good predictor for the rest of your day. And if it's hectic and disorganized, the forecast never looks good. Luckily there are some simple things you can do to stay on schedule. The key to an organized day is to start your morning the night before. Ask your kids to pick out something to wear and make sure it's primped, pressed and ready to go. Bagged lunches can also be prepared the night before. Or be ready for every meal of the day by creating a weekly menu with your family. Also, find a special place to keep all daily items, like homework, so your kids will remember to grab them on the way out the door. Even if you'd like to think so, you can't do everything by yourself. So divide up the morning's chores amongst your family. Post them on a big chart so everyone knows exactly what they need to do before they're out the door. Swap the chores around every week so everyone can try something new. Being prepared means you'll be less stressed and ready to face your day on time.
