Show 202
"I think the important thing that we do that's different than most dieting approaches, is that we look at the whole person. We like to take a look at how people's lives are affected by their efforts to control weight," says Dr. Martin Binks, head of the behavior program at Duke University. The Duke University Diet and Fitness Center has had a high success rate and is one of the oldest diet and fitness centers in the world. Dr. Binks says, "Often, people go in with very unreasonable expectations about what success is and when people come to us, we like to start by telling them that there's no real diet here. What we're talking about is making lasting and sustainable changes that they can keep going over a lifetime with these things."
