Have you ever found yourself doing things you don't even realize you're doing? Shutting a door and then instantly locking it, turning right instead of turning left. We do hundreds of things every day, simply out of habit. Some habits are helpful while others can be simply annoying or even harmful to your health. Smoking is an especially complex habit because there are two key components, the physical addiction and the triggered behavior. And what needs to happen for the smoker is to consciously interrupt that process," says Dr. Jed Rose of Duke University. Go beyond the habits and learn more information about what causes them and how to break the bad ones.
