"I live every day to the fullest," says centenarian Catherine Keller who has seen many things in her life, but simple things have impacted her most. "Her spirit got her through decades," says her granddaughter. Lynn Peters Adler, founder and director of the National Centenarian Awareness Project says, "Love of life, including a sense of humor, maintaining social contacts with family and friends, and having spiritual beliefs are the fountain of youth for the soul. A positive, yet realistic attitude and personal courage also help. But most important is to renegotiate life at every turn, accept losses, and keep going." "Decide what you want to do and do it well," advises Catherine.
