"Tell us about Medicare Part D," says Dr. Lisa.
"The federal government is working with private companies to provide a drug benefit for seniors. It works like insurance. You pay a small monthly premium of thirty to forty dollars per month. Your co-pay is based on your plan design," says Dan Luce, Pharmacy Affairs Manager of Walgreens.
"The best plan for you is based on the medication you take. If you need help, your pharmacist is there for you or you can access the government web site. The website will let you know if you're eligible.
"Social security is also offering assistance to seniors. Remember, Medicare Part D is insurance, not a benefit," says Dan.
