Gabby Marx:
I feel like I grow a foot every day. I'm even taller than some of the boys in my class. Dr. Lisa, I thought boys were supposed to be taller than girls.
Dr. Lisa Thornton:
Has anyone here ever felt like they were shorter than they wanted to be or taller than they wanted to be at some point? I think we've all kind of felt that way. The thing is that when you're very young, most kids are about the same height, boys and girls, okay. But what happens is that girls get a head start growing and they have their growth spurt earlier than boys. But, the boys then catch up because they keep growing and then they get their growth spurt later. And usually pass up the girls. So don't worry too much about your height, because it's really not your height that matters—it's your heart.
