"Super human" is how she might seem to an outsider: mother of two, spokesperson, president of her own foundation, and wife of Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre. But not long ago, the public learned Deanna Favre is just like everyone else. At 35, Deanna learned she had breast cancer. "You're thinking, what on earth did I do to get cancer? I'm young. I'm healthy, I work out. I don't smoke," says Deanna. She researched treatment options and decided on a mastectomy and chemotherapy. Today, Deanna is a breast cancer survivor, and she wants to be able to say the same about all women fighting the disease. She formed the Deanna Favre Hope Foundation to educate women, and provide financial assistance for women undergoing treatment. Deanna says, "I was at a walk last year and this lady said thanks to you, I found my cancer. And I'm undergoing treatment. And you know, you saved my life."
