Life on a college campus can be stressful for students wanting to succeed. And we've all heard of the freshman 15: students packing on the pounds while adjusting to life on their own for the first time. Daphne Oz, daughter of best-selling author Dr. Mehmet Oz, knows first hand. For years she struggled with her own weight until she decided that wasn't the way she wanted to live. "I really only got that inspiration when I got to college and I realized I'm embarking on my adult life," says Daphne. Now a senior at Princeton, Daphne is sharing her approach in The Dorm Room Diet. She says her father was definitely a part of her inspiration to write the book. "He said, you know the patients I treat; it's easy for me to make them change their habits because they're facing death if they don't. Whereas I'm hopefully working with a population that's just borderline unhealthy. They're just making it across that line. And it will be very simple for them to come back to the healthy side of life,"" says Daphne.
