At these clinics, you can walk in and receive basic medical services from a nurse practitioner without an appointment. Everything from prescriptions for infections to treatment for minor illnesses to mammogram testing can be done at convenient care clinics, which also have expanded hours and neighborhood locations, sometimes even in a mall. Convenient care clinics don't replace hospitals or your doctor, but they do serve as an accessible and affordable option to get the attention you need for those non-emergency medical needs.
