Breathing in and out. It's something so easy you don't even think about, right? Not for some people, because they have asthma. Symptoms vary quite a bit from person to person, from minor wheezing to severe trouble breathing. So what triggers an asthma attack? It could be a lot of things-- pollen, mold, even tobacco smoke. Fortunately, there are several ways to treat asthma, including corticosteroid inhalers, and medications in pill form. The best way to deal with asthma is to prevent an attack from happening in the first place. And you can do that by following a few simple rues. First, never exercise in extremely cold temperatures. The cold air can irritate your lungs and trigger an attack. When it's hot and humid, try to stay in air conditioning as much as possible because it lowers the amount of mold and pollen you breathe in. And always use a de-humidifier, especially if you have pets. Moist air and pet dander also trigger asthma attacks. Follow these rules, and you could lower the number of asthma attacks you have.
