Do you ever feel that everything you eat goes straight to your middle? Here's a couple of good exercises to help you tone and strengthen your abdominals. One is the crunchless ab: you can do it while you're standing. All you do is move your arms out a bit, clasp your hands together, and move from side to side. Do it a little faster, and then break when you're turned at each side before moving back to the other side. That stopping motion forces you to use your core, or your abdominals. Another exercise involves standing. When you're standing, bring your hip to around your rib cage in a consistent, repetitive motion. Add arm motions with it, and you're getting your waistline and abdominals working together. You can do that while you're watching TV, and it burns calories. Ab exercises can be done anywhere—you don't even need that much space! So get up, work those abs and start melting off that midsection.
