The cost of home medical equipment for people with disabilities can be staggering. Meet Norm, whose seven-year-old grandson needed a wheelchair. The cost and lack of availability he discovered for many caregivers in need of such equipment led him to Katy's Kloset, an Equipment Lending Library that specializes in assistive devices and medical equipment for home use. Equipment is loaned out free of charge, and now Norm helps to maintain and repair the equipment. "It's really rewarding to see that they don't end up sitting in a garage someplace," Norm says, "they keep going from patient to patient."
