Michaela Powell: And most of that sugar and extra calories come from all the soda we're drinking…which is bad for our teeth, and can also lead to obesity. So, Gabby and I have a suggestion. If you still want something sweet and refreshing, mix a couple of your favorite fruit juices together. How does that sound, Dr. Lisa?
Dr. Lisa: Great suggestions, girls. And parents, a recent study suggests that drinking as little as one soft drink a day... even a diet soft drink... can increase risk for cardiovascular disease. So limit that soda intact, and serve your kids water, or low sugar beverages with their meals.
