Do you ever feel like you are just walking in place… never getting anywhere with your exercise? It's called a plateau and guess what? It's not a stumbling block. We all experience it. Plateaus are actually a sign that you're more fit! Plateaus happen because your body has become more efficient. It doesn't have to work as hard to get the work out done. So the key to getting over a plateau is keeping the body challenged. If you are lifting weights try going heavier or doing more repetitions. If you are doing cardio, try changing the speed of your work by doing some short interval bursts at a higher intensity or try adding some extra time to your normal routine.
