Insurance comes in many forms, and long-term care insurance is one type not many people are very familiar with. Long-term care insurance is designed to take you through a period of physical or mental breakdowns that would prevent you from working or otherwise earning income. It's designed to be a security blanket that can also protect one's life savings, Social Security payments, and relatives. Leeza and Dr. Jamie discuss the merits of investing in long-term care insurance. Dr. Jamie points out the importance of planning, and doing it before something happens that may necessitate insurance, and Leeza relates her family's experience.
