Kids Ask Dr. Lisa:
What's Color Blindness?

Aired on Lifetime Television for Women
Sunday, September 3 and December 10
Show 323

It may surprise you that there lots of people who are color blind. About one in 12 people have it. It's something you inherit from your mom and dad, like your hair or eye color. But being colorblind doesn't mean you can't see any colors at all. It means you have trouble telling the difference between colors. So if you're wearing two different colored socks today, it could mean you're color blind, or that you got dressed in the dark!  The best thing to do is to talk to your doctor about it the next time you visit.
