"The kitchen of the future will be like a friend that helps," says Erin Alexander of Kraft Foods. She gives Dr. Lisa a behind-the-scenes tour, providing her a first-hand look at some very amazing technology. Food packages, when scanned on the counter top, contain detailed information about inventory, nutrition, even cooking tips. "It's talking to you!" Dr. Lisa says after Erin scans the package. "It's telling you what kind of product you have, and turning on the oven at the same time," Erin explains. The kitchen is in test phases and one day may be available everywhere.
