"What can women do to lower our heart disease risk?" Dr. Lisa asks Dr. Sharonne Hayes of the Women's Health Clinic at the Mayo Clinic. "Don't smoke, exercise, know your blood pressure and cholesterol, family history, and the signs and symptoms of heart disease," Dr. Hayes says. "How can women make some of these lifestyle changes, like exercising?" asks Dr. Lisa. "Acknowledge barriers to making changes," suggests Dr. Hayes. "What is your number one advice for women?" Dr. Lisa asks. "Heart disease can be prevented. It's not the natural process of aging."
