Nicole and Theresa Mittons watched their father change as a result of Alzheimer's disease. "The hardest part was feeling like I was robbed of being a daughter," says Theresa. A difficult decision had to be made. The sisters placed their father into an assisted living arrangement. "For tough situations like these," Dr. Jamie suggests, "don't go it alone. Find outside help." He also gives the sage advice, "Take your oxygen first. In other words, you need to take care of yourself in order to be able to take care of someone else."
