"How did you find out you had breast cancer?" asks Dr. Lisa. "I went for a check up because I found a lump. The mammogram was negative and the needle biopsy also came back OK. But I wasn't feeling well and I sensed something wasn't right. So I pressed for more tests," says Olivia Newton-John, entertainer and breast cancer survivor. "It's important for women to trust their instincts. What did the diagnosis of cancer mean for your life?" asks Dr. Lisa. "I made a decision that I was going to be OK. I had a sense of humor which really saved me," says Olivia. "You learned a lot of things in this journey. Is there anything you want women to know?" asks Dr. Lisa. "Regular self exam is very important. The earlier you find a problem, the better chance you have of recovery. It's very treatable today," says Olivia. "Thank you for the 'Olivia Kit' that you helped to develop for self exams. I understand it magnifies any lump 10 times and also reaches the underarm area," says Dr. Lisa. "You're welcome. I'm very proud of it," says Olivia.
