Aired on Lifetime Television
Sunday, February 5 and March 19, 2006
Show 305
Ken and Ruth have been married for 42 years. Since Ruth fell ill, Ken has become the care giver, but his grief is expressed through anger and he lashes out at everyone. "Grief is a natural part of aging," says Dr. Jamie. "But when grief comes out as anger, you can't take it personally. Don't take anything personally is my fifth commandment," says Leeza. "Lashing out is caused by fear. You need to take deep breaths," Dr. Jamie says. "And try to find the humor in things," adds Leeza.
