Dr. Lisa Thornton

Dr. Lisa ThrontonDr. Thornton is the medical director of pediatric and adolescent rehabilitation for Kids Rehab, a joint program of Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital and La Rabida Children's Hospital in Chicago. She is assistant professor in the department of pediatrics and the department of orthopedics and rehabilitation. Her medical practice is dedicated exclusively to the care of children with disabilities.

A graduate of Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Thornton received her medical degree from the University of Michigan and her pediatric specialty training at Children's Memorial Hospital. Her rehabilitation residency was at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, where she also served as chief resident.

Dr. Thornton has appeared on Good Morning America and CNN, and has lectured widely on topics including health and wellness, holistic health care, obesity and childhood disability.
